Derek Jeter--"Captain Clutch"--to Head into Baseball's Hall of Fame

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter will head into the Hall of Fame after the Baseball Writers' Association of America voted him in to receive his honor. In July, Jeter will join other elected ballplayers, including right fielder Larry Walker, who played for the Montreal Expos, Colorado Rockies, and St. Louis Cardinals; Marvin Miller, a previous union chief; and Ted Simmons, a switch-hitting catcher with the Braves, Brewers, and Cardinals.
