Playing for Oregon, point guard Sabrina Ionescu just might light up the WNBA as a top pick. With the women's pro basketball league having a more extensive broadcast schedule and raising salaries this upcoming season Ionescu, the woman who won the 2019 Wooden Award as the women's player of the year, returned to her team rather than opting for a WNBA contract.
One thing that makes this senior special is that she surpassed the Division I record for males and females for triple-doubles. She's also raising attendance numbers at the women's home games because of her play.
Watch Ionescu in action and bring along Game-Day Youth: Learning Basketball's Lingo or Game-Day Goddess: Learning Basketball's Lingo to enjoy the game. Written by Suzy Beamer Bohnert and available in paperback and e-book format from www.amazon.com and www.bn.com, get your copy now.
