March Madness started out in fine fashion with the North Texas men's team beating Purdue in overtime to start the first round of the college basketball tournament. By doing the impossible, North Texas won its first NCAA tournament game ever, upsetting the No. 4 seeded Boilermakers. The 78-69 upset by the No. 13 North Texas team featured Javion Hamlet, who scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

Hamlet received no offers to play college ball, but his mantra of "Don't ever doubt me" is a lesson for basketball players everywhere. To watch Hamlet play next, get your copy of Game-Day Youth: Learning Basketball's Lingo or Game-Day Goddess: Learning Basketball's Lingo. Paperback and e-book versions written by Suzy Beamer Bohnert are available from www.bn.com and www.amazon.com.
